ESTIMATE / CONTRACT
For demolition of existing construction of new 12’X50’ concrete & launch dock according to detailed drawings, scope of work and general notes.

Contract Includes:
1. Obtain engineer sealed drawings
2. Obtain State DEP, Orange county EPD, & building permitting
3. Demo existing
4. Construct described structure, see detailed drawings
5. Remove construction debris
Terms: Total project cost: $18,840.00
(Amount due)
A) Contract signing, ready for permitting $1,000.00
B) Starting day, demolition completed $6,280.00
C) Passed inspection, ready to pour $6,280.00
D) Contract completed $6,280.00
E) Homeowner provides adequate survey & as built survey for permitting purposes, property & N.H.W. line located by others
F) If collections of amount due with S.M.C. go into any legal litigation, & homeowner is found responsible for payment, homeowner will be responsible for payment of all legal services required to obtain any money due.
G) Moves in location of said project, from where original agreement once started will have a day labor rate of $400.00 applied to final billing.
H) If State permitting or any other additional permitting is required, an application processing fee of $500.00 plus cost of the application fee will be added to first payment.
NOTE: In 2004 the EPA is fazing out CCA pressure treated lumber, the use of ACQ non-arsenic lumber. If this comes into effect before your job is started & only ACQ lumber is available, there will be a minimal up charge to cover the cost difference in lumber & stainless steel Nail & bolt pkg
Extra items requested, not specified in contact, will be billed at $25.00 per man hour, plus cost of materials and 20% mark-up for overhead expenditures and profit. Estimate firm for thirty days. All payments are due within 48 hours of payment request, per scheduled draw, or subject to maximum allowable interest. If contract is cancelled after permits have started to no fault of contractor the contractor retains the right of profit of the amount of 10% of original contract cost.
NOTE: Any unforeseen obstacles such as irrigation systems, dog fences, electrical wires, etc, Specialty Marine Contractors, Inc. will not be responsible for if damaged
Warranties:
· All warranties go into effect once final payment has been received by Specialty Marine Contractors, Inc. within five days of project completion.
· Payment provisions à up to 20% of final payment may be withheld until completion of additional work requested by homeowner. If 80% of final payment is received within the five-day period, the warranty goes into effect immediately. If project has been completed and final payment remains unpaid for five days from completion date, warranties become null and void.
· Unconditional comprehensive warranty on project guaranteed by Specialty Marine Contractors, Inc. for a period of one year from the date of completion.
· Three year labor warranty covering installation; this covers negligence by the installer to properly install said item according to scope of work.

SCOPE OF WORK – Launching dock
For construction of 4’X30’ launching dock with 6X6 PT piles left tall, 40” above pier with decorative post caps.

Contract Includes:
1. Piles: #2 grade 6X6 PT, 0.80 CCA 10’ max span

2. Floor frame: #2 grade 2X8 PT, 0.40 CCA

3. Decking: #1 grade 2X6 PT, 0.40 CCA

4. Bolting: Pile to floor frame 3/8” hot dipped galvanized thru bolts

5. Bracing: Pile to pile with 3/8” hot dipped galvanized lag screws.

BOAT RAMP & BEACH PARK REMINDER:

Please remember that you must display the green decal for CAWLB on your bumper or dashboard when parking at the Boat Ramp. Be ready to provide your name and address for verification of current membership. If you fail to give name and address or proof of membership for verification then we can only assume that you are not a member and therefor are trespassing on CAWLB property. THE SHERIFF WILL BE CALLED TO REMOVE YOU AND/OR YOUR VEHICLE AT YOUR EXPENSE!!!! If you are a current paid member you should have no problem providing this information. It is for the security and protection of our community’s vested interest in these properties.

Please be cooperative as these measures are being taken to reduce vandalism, trespassers and to further the enjoyment of our members at these facilities.
